It’s that time of year again! The weather’s getting colder, your standards are getting lower, and your self-care routine is getting more and more extensive (and expensive). It’s also the time of year for Sephora’s annual Beauty Insider annual sale. If you’re a beauty insider – which is free to sign up for – you’ll receive 10% off, if you’re a VIB you’ll receive 15% off, and if you’re a rouge member like me, you’ll receive 20% off.
The sale starts November 2nd and ends November 4th, and EVERYTHING is on sale. With Winter on its way, now is the perfect time to stock up on everything from skin saving moisturizer to that perfect holiday party red lipstick.
As a Sephora junkie, I thought I would share my Sephora shopping cart with you all and give you some tips and tricks on what you should pick up during this huge Sephora sale. Click the photos.
The skincare section at Sephora is my home – my mindset is that if I can get my skin to be good enough that I don’t need makeup I can save money on makeup (lies – i still spend money on make up)
Glow Recipe Blueberry Bounce Gentle Cleanser
The first product in my cart is the Glow Recipe Blueberry Bounce Gentle Cleanser, Glow Recipe is a popular Korean skin care brand who’s been killing it recently with “shelfie worthy” packaging and supercharged skin care products. This product can be used as a face cleanser, a makeup remover, and a face mask! Three in one!
Drunk Elephant Virgin Marula Oil
Next up in skincare is this Drunk Elephant Virgin Marula Oil. Most people believe that using oil in your skin care routine will make your skin oily and gross – but let me just tell you how truly wrong this is. I have been obsessed with using facial oils, especially at night because when I wake up my skin is GLOWING. This oil has been in my cart for a while now and would be a great product to cop during this sale.
Herbivore Pink Cloud Rosewater Moisture Crème
I bought this product in September and I’m already planning on stocking up because I’m so in love with it. Herbivore’s Pink Cloud Rosewater Moisture Crème is seriously like my pot of gold. It feels like your skin is being engulfed in a hug from a fluffy, creamy pink cloud – and I don’t think I’ll ever go back to using any other moisturizer.
Herbivore Blue Tansy AHA BHA Resurfacing Clarity Mask
Another Herbivore product that I’ve been loving recently (I just finished my second pack) is the Blue Tansy AHA BHA Resurfacing Clarity Mask. This mask is perfect for anybody, it clears up your skin so well. When I first bought it I was told to use it four days in a row to bring all my underlying pimples to surface and make them go away. This worked SO WELL, but make sure to do this a couple days before your holiday party because it may bring pimples to light when you first use it.
Tatcha Pure One Step Camellia Cleansing Oil
The last thing in my skin care cart is the Tatcha Pure One Step Camellia Cleansing Oil. I’ve really wanted this ever since Desi Perkins shared that she uses this as a double cleanser in her nightly skin care routine (her skin is literally to die for). Double cleansing with an oil-based cleanser is a new trend that really appeals to me because it basically ensures that not a single stitch of makeup will be left on my skin before heading to sleep.
Haircare products don’t take up a huge amount of space in my cart, but they are extremely important. Having good hair products can mean having a good hair day everyday which is basically everybody’s dream.
The Verb Ghost Shampoo and Conditioner duo
As someone who works out most days of the week, I need a shampoo and conditioner that don’t leave my hair oily. The Verb Ghost Shampoo and Conditioner duo are perfect for that, they work together to keep hair clean and fresh but also soft and smooth. Perfect hair day anyone?
Dry Bar Brush Crush
This Dry Bar Brush Crush Heated Straightening Brush has been missing from my life for too long – and from yours too. It seems like an easy way to create picture perfect hair while saving the time of going through and straightening each strand. Tell your boyfriend you’ll be ready early instead of late for his parents’ holiday and maybe he’ll propose?
Sephora has a section on their website called “inner beauty” which is filled up with fancy vitamins and fun things that help you glow from within. Here are a few fun finds that could work as the perfect gift for your secret Santa (or for yourself).
BKR Lala Glass Water Bottle
This BKR Lala Glass Water Bottle is super sleek, colourful, and glass which means it has no BPA’s seeping into your water. They come in both 500ml and 1l, which means you can stay hydrated in whatever size you fancy.
BKR Paris Water Balm
This product actually goes along with the water bottle, you have to buy a new cap to attach this but it’s called the BKR Paris Water Balm and it attaches to the cap of your water bottle so you can take your lip balm everywhere you go with you. I’m super excited to try this one out, and it would make the perfect gift.
The last section of this article (but certainly not least) is probably what you all came here for! Sephora has curated the best of the best makeup which is why I know I probably can’t mess this up and whatever I recommend to you will be amazing. The following products will complete your holiday looks and help you take the perfect “New Year New Me” selfie on New Years Eve (don’t worry, I’m already planning mine out too).
Anastasia Beverly Hills Sultry Eyeshadow Palette
I have been stalking this eyeshadow palette probably as much as you stalked your ex-boyfriend for the four months post breakup. The Anastasia Beverly Hills Sultry Eyeshadow Palette is beautiful. It has the perfect mix of mattes and sparkles, beige’s, a pop of colour, and would make the perfect smouldering smoky eye.
Your Skin but Better CC Cream by IT Cosmetics
The Your Skin but Better CC Cream by IT Cosmetics has been raved about in the beauty community since the summer. It’s the perfect foundation because it provides good coverage but still feels like you’re wearing a light tinted moisturizer. Make sure to test out the colour because it’s been said that it comes out darker than you would expect.
Giorgio Armani’s Lip Maestro
Giorgio Armani’s Lip Maestro is the perfect matte lipstick for this holiday season. I’m a huge fan of the colour 512 Drama Nude but would be obsessed with pretty much any colour that I could get my hands on.
Marc Jacobs O-Mega Glaze All Over Foil Luminizer
This Marc Jacobs O-Mega Glaze All Over Foil Luminizer is limited edition which basically just means I need it. It comes in a huge gold compact with a giant mirror and it is stunning. Even though highlighter may been seen as more of a summery fad, but you should get that glow on in the winter too, especially with this highlighter.
Dior Addict Lip Glow
Lastly, this Dior Addict Lip Glow Color Reviver Balm is a cult beauty favourite, being used by models and celebrities everywhere. Gigi Hadid actually uses this on her cheeks too to create a natural looking blush! This feels like the most moisturizing lip balm but actually gives your lips a subtle sheer tint and a bouncy pout that will be envied by all your family and friends.
So that’s it for me! I hope you enjoy the upcoming Sephora sale and don’t spend your whole entire paycheck. If I spend $400 but have 20% off, I’m actually saving $80, right? Shop till you drop sisters – and make sure to comment what you’ll buy at the Sephora sale!
